Q. Who can be a member of the Rhode Island Film Collaborative?
Anyone with an interest in filmmaking! We accept actors, videographers, animators, writers, directors, costume designers, producers, crew, cinephiles, and anyone that loves movies or works with film or video.
Q. How do I become a member?
Fill out this form here. Membership is good for twelve months from signing up, and we have three different levels. Members are also encouraged to go to as many events as possible–we love hanging with people that love movies.
As a member, you can go to members-only events, get discounts, post film announcements, and much more!
Q. Why should I become a member?
You’ll receive all these benefits, and be part of one of the largest filmmaking groups in New England.
Q. How can I do an event, screening, or workshop with the RIFC?
We love offering our members new experiences! Shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know why you want to collaborate with the RIFC.
Q. Do I have to have my own business to be a member?
Nope! Anyone can be a member–even if you don’t have your own business. Our members range from filmmaking students to movie addict to filmmakers that own their own studios–if you love filmmaking and want to support it in Rhode Island…then we want to know you!
Q. What are the yearly membership fee and event fees used for?
The Rhode Island Film Collaborative is entirely volunteer run. Fees are used to cover general operating and overhead expenses such as domain registration, web hosting, name tags, event costs (food & beverage), and event space deposits.
Q. How do I get involved behind-the-scenes?
We’re always looking for help with planning, graphic design, event photography, poster distribution, volunteers, and more! Email us at email@example.com and let us know.
Q. Can I be a sponsor or vendor?
We’ve got about a bunch of events every year and we’re always looking for vendors or sponsors that want to connect with our members. Vendor rates are very reasonable. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know.
