Halloween Bash - Film - Original Robot/SciFi/Zombie Costume Contest
- Live Band, Walking the Witch - Oct 29, Regent Theatre, 7:30 pm (Arlington, MA)
To celebrate the Halloween season indietravelingcinema.com and Massachusetts filmmakers, John Hartman of Reel Groovy Films, and Zee Zarbock of Unfolding Story Pictures, are putting on an evening of fun films, a costume contest, and live music on Thursday, October 29 at 7:30 pm at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA.
Episode 1 of Quest for the Indie Tube (www.questfortheindietube.com) will make its theatrical debut at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA on Thursday, October 29th at 8 pm, along with their super 8mm playful horror feature flick, Reel-illusionary Zone (www.reel-illusionaryzone.com).
Synopsis of Quest for the Indie Tube: Dr. Alexander Lewis, sustained only by art house love, attempts to save the world from dumbed down television created by the Dark Programmer in, Quest for the Indie Tube.
“The flavor of this series could be described as Dr. Who meets Quai Chang Caine—that is, we wish to incorporate science fiction and metaphysical spirituality. Original elements that we intend to incorporate revolve around German Expressionism and experimental film. The main idea is not only to entertain, but to inspire the audience, taking them to a place beyond mainstream programming,” Hartman said.
synopsis of Reel-illusionary Zone: All was well for a certain toy maker in Toyland until one day the toys revolt and head for the real world. Without any experiences to guide them safely, the toys must first traverse the bizarre and surreal Reel-Illusionary Zone.
Doors open at 7:30 pm and live music will be provided by the Massachusetts band, Walking the Witch, from 7:30-8pm. Stars of Quest for the Indie Tube will also be in attendance.
An original Robot/SciFi/Zombie costume contest will be held at 8 pm, so everyone should come in costume. Winners will have on-camera roles for the last day of shooting for Episode 5, on Sunday, November 1st.
Tickets are $7 at the door, or in advance online at www.regenttheatre.com.
