48HFP Is Coming!
The 48 Hour Film Project is coming back to Providence July 17-19, 2015. It’s our 10th year and we’ve got loads of awesome stuff planned. Filmmakers from all over the Providence area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world for the title “Best 48 Hour Film of 2015”. Use this web page as a cheat sheet for all the awesome stuff we’ve got lined up.
Check out the city page and get on the mailing list to be notified when signups go live: www.48hourfilm.com/en/providence
The design is in honor of the Rhode Island state bird, the Rhode Island Red.
EARLY BIRD PASSES!!!
We have multiple events coming up for teams to learn more about the 48HFP, connect with potential cast/crew, and get ready for the best weekend of their lives.
This is our first event, and it’s super-casual. We’ll have coffee, donuts, and juice available for potential team leaders and members. Since this is a weekend/morning event, it’s great for families and folks that can’t come out on weekdays. 10am-1pm. http://pvd48hfp-donuts.eventbrite.com
Come out to the Wild Colonial on Tuesday, June 9th for the RIFC monthly networking meeting! Meet members of the local film community, announce projects or events, and discuss all things film. Great place to meet actors, writers, and production crew of all stripes. RSVP on Facebook.
This event offers actors an opportunity to perform in front of an invited panel of local directors, casting, and media professionals! 48HFP team leaders can join the experts panel, just email city producer Mel Rainsberger to get on the guest list. Mel@rifcfilms.com
This is our panel discussion. We invite 4-5 veterans to come and talk about their tips and tricks for conquering the 48HFP. Join us at AS220 and RSVP.
